We stand behind those words; not only are they our commitment but they are our promise to the community and to the people we serve. STAR is built on the principle that our most valuable resources are our human resources. We are small enough to go the extra mile.

Founded in 1985, as a human resources training and development firm, STAR's headquarters are located in the historical area of Federal Hill in downtown Baltimore, Maryland, one and one-half blocks from the world renowned Inner Harbor, four blocks from the Raven Stadium, three blocks from Oriole Park at Camden Yards, and six blocks from the world famous Lexington market.

Star's professional staff of trainers and human resources developers each have over thirty years in training experience, and have developed and facilitated training and development programs nationally in Alaska, New York, California, Florida, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Texas and Georgia; and internationally to include Africa, Germany, Mexico, Nassau, and the Bahamas - just to name a few locations.

STAR provides training programs designed to assist managers and supervisors in government employment and/or private industry. STAR has developed and provided training in Cultural Diversity and Conflict Resolution to Police Departments and planned and facilitated retreats for City and State Agencies and Presidential Staffs of several colleges and universities.

For over fifteen years, STAR has provided Employee Assistance programs, drug-free workforce training, and substance abuse prevention counseling and training to small businesses and large corporations in Maryland.

STAR is also committed to enhancing the employment opportunities of individuals and families with a history of welfare dependence. We provide quality training in parenting skills in an effort to strengthen the family structure and help prevent child abuse and child neglect. We provide In-Home Aide services for people who are aging or ill and choose to remain in their homes and we provide relief to family-member care givers. STAR provides transportation services, chore services, direct personal-care services, and escort services to and from doctor's appointments.
